This is a very nice vintage (c.1920's) small tightly woven split willow creel (french weave technique) measuring 12" across its base. It has its original leather/metal closing strap/clasp. This size was typically used to hold small stream brookie's and other small game fish. Perfect original condition! This creel was found without a harness which were after-market purchases anyway. This is the way the famous Oregon Creel makers imported their creels to then dress with leather trim and tooled patterns! Great to display or add to a creel collection!
