This is a victorian early 1900's cast metal fish motif utensil that performs several functions. The ball end of handle can be used as a priest after you have caught your fish. Vintage fishing knife with scaler and what appears as rosewood type wooden handle. It is marked on the blade "Utica Carbon Steel" within a fish insigna/logo. Original vintage "L.L.Bean" (marked on the tang) Fishing Knife in famous "toothpick" shape! This knife has a single blade and a separate hook remover/scaler implement. Overall length is 4 1/4" and blade is 3" from tang. Two tiny depressions along edge, hardly noticeable and does not effect use or overall appearance of the knife. This beautiful knife is a Schrade No. SC705. It is part of their "Schrade Scrimshaw" series that is out of production. This one is signed and dated 1987. It is unused, never re-sharpened. The blade is 3 1/4" long and the knife is 5 1/4" overall. The stainless ends have minor surface marks but no nicks,etc.
