SPECTACULAR HAND PAINTED TROUT OAK/GUT COFFEE TABLE! (Shipping Inc. within US)

A spectacular and truly one-of-a-kind piece of sporting furniture, combining traditional craftsmanship with original angling art. This handsome coffee table is constructed of richly finished oak and incorporates woven gut/lacing around the perimeter, giving it the character and appearance of an oversized traditional fishing net.

The centerpiece is a wonderful original hand-painted trout by renowned Maine sporting artist Joe Neal. Set within a slightly raised oval panel, the trout is depicted against a classic lake and evergreen landscape, with particularly attractive coloration and detail. The painting is finished with a rustic natural twig/vine border, beautifully complementing the warm oak and woven construction of the table.

The open framework beneath the tabletop incorporates a generous woven book or magazine shelf, adding both visual interest and practical storage. The curved legs and extensive hand-laced construction make the table equally appealing from the side—this is a piece meant to be admired from every angle.

Measuring approximately 38" long x 19½" deep x 15" high, it is an exceptional accent for a fishing lodge, cabin, sporting room, den, or collector's home.

For those wishing to protect the original painted surface, a fitted glass top can easily be ordered from a local glass shop. An oversized piece of glass could also be used to provide additional tabletop area while leaving the remarkable construction and artwork fully visible.

A wonderful marriage of sporting art and rustic craftsmanship—and an outstanding statement piece for the serious angling collector.

Dimensions: Approximately 38" L x 19½" D x 15" H.
